Shirley Ann Chiles left this earth and gained her wings after a brief fight with the Covid-19 virus on 11/15/2020 at St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Mo.
Shirley was born in St. Louis, Mo. On October 18th, 1955 to Ralph and Lois Stotler.
She married the love of her life, Dennis Chiles on April 29th, 1972. Dennis tried to steal her brothers bike but instead stole her heart.
Together, Dennis and Shirley created two of the most beautiful and amazing daughters they could’ve ever asked for. Diona Trexler (Derrick) and
Kimberly Reynolds (Doug). Their girls in turn blessed them with two precious grandsons (Anakin Trexler and Ruger Reynolds) who stole their hearts the moment they met them. Shirley absolutely loved and adored spending time with Dennis, her daughters and most of all her grandsons. Shirley loved making gifts for others. Showcasing her artistic talent and kindness. She had a heart of gold and a personality of an angel. She never met a stranger.
Shirley was the most loving and loyal wife to Dennis and the most amazing mom and sweetest Maw Maw any of us could have been blessed with.
Shirley’s passion was Mopar Cars and going for rides with Dennis because Dennis always said; “You can’t get to Heaven in a putt putt car, a putt putt car can’t go that far but a Mopar car will get you that far!” Heaven is so very lucky because they just received the best Arts and Crafts angel they could have ever asked for. When you see that beautiful sunrise or sunset, it’s Shirley painting us beautiful pictures.
Mom – you will always be our sunshine!

I met Shirley through my sister in law, Susan Streckfuss. Shirley was a neighbor and very good friend to Sue. She gave me jewelry and beautiful crafts to deliver and always included a gift for me. She was a loving and caring lady, and I am proud to have known her.
