Carlson, Karen Louise, age 48, Fortified with the  Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Friday, May 4, 2018.  Karen will be lovingly  remembered by her parents, Louis and Judith (Colombo)  Carlson and sister Lynn  (Carlson) Scearce, Brother-in-Law Bo Scearce and nephew Cal Scearce.   

Karen will also be  fondly  remembered by cousins, aunts, uncles, dear friends and her faithful dog, Scout.  Karen was preceded in death by her sister Maureen Carlson.

 Karen was a 1991 graduate of Benedictine College in Atchison, KS.  She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with her Master’s Degree in 1995.  Karen worked as a Speech Language Pathologist for Special School District at Sperring and Truman Middle schools in the Lindbergh School District for the past 18 years.  She will be missed by co-workers and  students. 

 Services: A visitation in memory of Karen will be held on  Friday, May 11, 2018, 3-8:00 PM at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis, MO, 63123. Funeral from Kutis Funeral  Home, Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to Our Lady of Providence Catholic Church – 8866 Pardee Road, Crestwood, MO, 63123 where a Mass will be celebrated in memory of Karen at 10:00 a.m.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations in  memory of Karen may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis  Foundation 8251 Maryland Ave Unit 12, St. Louis, MO  63105.
