In one of our last conversations, I asked you what your favorite animal was and you told me you were fascinated by a female lioness. A lioness is known to be queen of the jungle; for being strong, smart and care taker of her lion cubs. The lion would be nothing without the lioness. Which describes you perfectly. You were the strongest person I know and I find peace in knowing you don’t have to fight anymore and can finally be at rest. We will all miss you forever and were so blessed to have you. We really hit the jackpot with you. I could only hope to be half of the person you were. I love you to the moon and back!

Hi Grandma, Aces says Hello. We both miss you and love you more then words could ever explain. I still have your robe on my couch, Aces snuggles on it every night. I could never thank you enough for all the times you helped me out by watching him. I am so so very sad that you are gone but so very thankful to have had you as my Grandma. Grandparents are very special people and you were the best! I cherished every canasta game we ever played. I hope you are in Heaven playing and I hope you get all of the RED THREES. I thought you’d out live us all and live forever. Sadly I was wrong. I will never forget the day you called me and told me you decided to stop chemo. I remember crying. I thought to myself how strong it must have been to make such a hard decision regarding your life! I remember telling you how proud of you I was for being so brave! You knew what you wanted and you did it your way. Just like the famous Frank Sinatra song “I did it my way” and that’s exactly what you did. So I sit here today prouder but a little sadder that you’re not here. I love you to the moon and back and will never forget the special person you were.
