Beloved mother of Ronald (Stacy), Gina, Jennie and Vance Burns; daughter of the late Russell and Mary Bono (nee Vitale) dear grandma of Jessica (fiance Dylan Bakies) Pape, Zachary (fiance Kenzie Johns) Stueck, Nicholas (Katelynn), Cole (Lisa) Burns, Angela Anderson, Lewis Vincent Burns; great-grandma of Cordelia Pape, Aurora Mueller, William, Elise Bakies, Levi Michael Coleman and Paislee Burns; sister of Jennie (the late Victor) Rossi, Josephine (the late Richard) Thompson, Russell (Janine) Bono, the late Vito and Joseph (Donna) Bono; our dear aunt, cousin and friend.
Memorial Visitation Saturday September 10, 2 p.m. until Memorial Service at 4 p.m. at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and/or Evelyn’s Hospice House.
So sorry to hear about Mary’s passing. She was a wonderful singer and a good person. We worked together back in the 80s and had lots of fun and great gigs. I am working on the day of the Memorial and will be unable to attend. I know there will be a lot of tears but be sure to share a lot of laughter and smiles. Mary wouldn’t have it any other way

Just saw this while listening to her album. Amazing singer. So fun to watch her live. I’m sorry for your loss, I know she is missed.
Just stumbled across Mary’s obit, loved her work from the dive bars in the 70’s and 80’s; her albums; had the privilege of having her perform in backyard concerts at our home for 200 of our closest friends and neighbors. A great performer, an awesome and Memorable human being. I for one will never forget her voice or her stage presence..
