81, passed Friday, May 6, 2022. Preceded in death by father James Morgan Burnett, mother Lillian (Agnew) Watson, brother Paul “Skeeter” Burnett, sisters Maggie (Burnett) Wilcox and Helen (Agnew) Glore. Beloved husband of 64 years to Josephine (Greco) Burnett; loving father of Theresa Burnett; brother of Marie (Burnett) Mann, John Burnett, and Charles Burnett;grandfather of Heather (Winkler) Cummings, James Winkler, and Melissa (Winkler) Vishion; great grandfather of Jacob Hinkelman, Nick Hinkelman, Bailey Winkler, John Hinkelman, Matthew Hinkelman, Camille Vishion, Genevieve Vishion, Lucas Cummings, and Patrick Cummings; dear uncle and friend to many.

Sonny was a part of many drag racing communities in the St. Louis area for many years. When he retired from drag racing, he loved attending car shows and entering his own Chevy Nova into the competition.

Services; Funeral from Kutis South County (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Wednesday 5/11 10:30AM for 11AM mass at Immaculate Conception (Arnold). Interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4-8PM
