With immense sorrow, we announce the passing of Glen Bruder, an extraordinary man who will be remembered for his caring and fairness. He was truly one of a kind. Glen passed away peacefully on May 5th, 2023, surrounded by his adoring family, after a courageous battle with illnesses. Born on July 4th, 1933, in Saint Louis, Glen’s life was a shining example of love, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to those he held dear.
Glen’s one-of-a-kind personality left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. His ability to empathize and his impartiality endeared him to all, while his laughter and positivity brightened every room he entered. Glen’s generosity of spirit and genuine care for others made the world a better place.
As a devoted husband to Patsy Bruder for over 65 years, their love story served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories. Glen’s steadfast love and unwavering support will forever be remembered by Patsy and those who witnessed their incredible bond.
He was a proud father to Terry Alsup, a grandfather to Megan Alsup, Sean and Marggie Alsup, and great grandfather to Brayden Alsup, Kendall Alsup, and Estella Alsup. Glen’s heart swelled with pride and joy at every milestone and achievement. His love, encouragement, and the special bond he shared with his son and grandchildren will be cherished and celebrated throughout their lives.
In his passing, Glen leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and fairness that will continue to resonate with those who were fortunate enough to know him. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration as we celebrate the life of a truly remarkable man.
SERVICES: Funeral will be held at Kutis Affton Chapel (10151 Gravois Rd. 63123) on Tuesday, May 9th at 11:00 am. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation on Monday from 2:30 pm – 8:00 pm.
Enjoyed coming over to visit with Pat and Glen, he was always fun with a twinkle in his eye. Will miss Glen and so will Sweetie Pie.

Glen will be missed by many people. He never complained about his illnesses or pain. Asked how he felt he would say, “I’m OK.” Well done my friend.
Glen will always have a special place in my heart!! Both Patsy & Glen were my next door neighbor ( 2nd parents lol). And I have so much love for them!!!

Grandpa glen was the best man I have ever met, he loved so hard with everyone he knew. Him and my grandma showed me a real example of true love and I will now never settle for less. He was so funny and never complained about anything (except if his food wasn’t good enough) I’ll always cherish how he treated me and how he always made a joke even if it wasn’t the right time. He has the best humor. I will never forget how he used to smile at me every morning and say good morning when I would walk out into living room.
He gave me so much hope and inspiration to do good in life. I will miss him forever. Best grandpa ever.
Pat and family, so sorry to see the passing of Glen. I don’t remember seeing Glen with anything but a smile on his face. I still see him on Halloween giving out 45 records for trick or treat, walking Lady later daze throughout the neighborhood and putting up with all the girls in and out of the house for dance classes.
So sorry for your loss. I know how much your grandpa most to you all. I know he will be missed
Glen, Maynard and Mrs. Maynard always had great laughs together… we cherish wonderful memories with Pat and Glen in Vegas with the Strutters.
