Beloved wife of the late Robert Lee Bruce; loving mother of Steven (Debra) Bruce, James (Dianne) Bruce and Kathleen (John Fox) Buckner; dear grandmother of Patrick (Nicole), Kerry (Dan), Casey (Tim) and Amber; dear Gigi to Callen, Kylee and Cormac; dear daughter of the late Ira and Ellen (nee Wolkey) Dirck; sister of the late Edwin (Helen) Dirck, Doris (the late Lindell) Rhodes, Fred Dirck and Raymond (Mary) Dirck; dearest aunt, great-aunt, cousin, friend and most avid Cardinal’s fan.

Dorothy was born in Sweet Springs, MO., where her parents and grandparents owned a gas station and motel. Her parents also operated a still out of the back of the gas station during prohibition. Her parents moved to St. Louis when she was a young girl. Dorothy was a proud alumni of McKinley High School.

Services: Visitation at Salem Lutheran Church (8343 Gravois, 63123) Saturday, February 13, 9:00 a.m. until services at 10:00 a.m.  (please adhere to all Covid  protocols..
