Booth, Kenneth Dale Monday, July 25, 2016

If you ever met him you’d remember him. Friends and coworkers had a long list of nicknames given to this larger than life personality, “The Crase”. ‘The Mess”, most aren’t printable. If you greeted him you could expect him to reply “Go Nuts!” or “Blow Your Sick Miserable Mind!”

Well known along the Pepsi and Coke routes he delivered, at the gyms he frequented, Kenny was a competitive weightlifter both in Olympic and power lifting competitions in the St. Louis and Illinois meets. Many people young and old will testify of his influences to the benefits of weightlifting and a healthy lifestyle…and that he never hesitated to tell you if you’re too fat.

He loved movies – there wasn’t a movie made that he couldn’t quote from, tell you who starred in it and lots of other movie trivia. He had a memory like no other.

Kenny was born July 31, 1947 to Patricia Alice Scanlon Booth Cooper and Alva Junior Booth in Alton, Il. He lived most of his life in the St. Louis area. He married Margaret Ann Booth on June 11, 2000. After a lengthy illness he passed into eternity on July 25, 2016. He was predeceased by his beloved grandparents, Lucille and Kenneth King and Kenzie, the granddaughter he adored. He is survived by his wife Peggy, sons Kenneth Booth Jr., Gary Lee (Kimberly Ann) Boyd and Nathan Adam Boyd; brothers William Ronnie (Kristi) Booth and Matthew Shawn (Sandy) Cooper; sister Heather Jane Lucille Cooper and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services: Funeral at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Saturday, July 30, 10 a.m. Visitation Friday, 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, or other donations the family asks for assistance with funeral expensed by donating to gofundme.com/2ggta24 or to a charitable organization benefiting diabetes or kidney disease. After his death, his brother stated “Kenny is the only man I’ve known that didn’t have an enemy.” Heaven is having a party that is “going to get crazy now!”
