(nee Loelkes) age 78, died at home in Grantwood Village, Missouri on August 11, 2020 from a lingering illness. She was a graduate of Nerinx High School and Webster College and served St. Louis County for 33 years, retiring as supervisor of the Radiological Laboratory.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Gertrude and Alex Loelkes; one brother, Ronnie Loelkes, and her ex-husband, Kenneth Blackburn.
She is survived by cousins, Wayne Kollarik and Elaine McKinney; second cousins, Stacey Cook, Jenny Kollarik and Chris McKinney; her life companion, Char Mason; and best friend, Sue Ehrhardt, as well as many friends.

My deepest sympathies to Char and Linda’s family and close friends. She was a force to be reckoned with when it came to protecting our beautiful trees in our village. Because of Linda and Char’s dedication and persistence, the village established a tree board and tree protection ordinance to help preserve our community forest for future generations to enjoy. As the current tree board president, I am very grateful for her efforts and honored to carry on her legacy.
We will miss Linda’s smile and our backyard neighbor visits. Our deepest condolences.
