Born August 4th, 1934 passed away peacefully at 12:00 p.m. on 9/3/2021 with her three sons and her husband by her side.

Sharon graduated from Rosati-Kain High School and was raised in South City Saint Louis in Our Lady Sorrows Parish. She was preceded in death by her mother Clara and her father Kasper W. Kroupa, as well as her brother Kasper G. Kroupa and sister Delores Finkenburger.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 64 years John, her son Larry Ball and his wife Cathy, their children Michael (wife Meghan and son Connor, daughter Kennedy) and Kristin (husband Tyler and son Walker); her son David Ball and his wife Martha, their children Jessica (wife Camilla and daughter Alexis, and sons Tyler and Wesley), Danielle (decd. survived by daughters Kaylee and Lilly), Lindsey (husband Scott), and Lisa (decd.); her son Kevin Ball and his wife Sarah, their children Rebecca (husband Nathan and son Lorien), Jessica, Alec, and Ashlyn.
Sharon and John resided in Affton as active members of Seven Holy Founders Parish and served the parish community throughout their 64 year marriage. Sharon provided an open home and open arms to her children and grandchildren and will be remembered with her camera in hand for family pictures at every event.
Sharon and her sister worked in the family grocery store growing up and she was an employee of Famous Barr and Hallmark Cards.  She was a seamstress and an immaculate homemaker. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and frequently attended games with her friends.  She was preceded in death by many close friends with whom she and John shared many evenings at club, playing cards and traveling together.
As the matriarch of the family, Sharon was also a fixture in the lives of her nieces’ and nephews’ families, active in great niece’s and nephew’s showers and weddings.

Her most proud and important role was Grandma and Great Grandma.  Children always had a special place in her heart and nothing would make her happier than to be with her 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandkids.
She showed so many how to love unconditionally and will be missed but never forgotten for her joyful smile and caring nature.
A family graveside service will be scheduled later at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Saint Louis, MO.
