Funeral Friday, November 4, 10:15 a.m. from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd. to Seven Holy Founders, 6741 S. Rock Hill Rd. for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Open Door Animal Sanctuary and/or de Greeff Hospice House. Visitation Thursday 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Gary- Please accept our condolences and know your mom, dad and family are in our prayers. I am sorry we are not in town for the wake but I am glad I had the opportunity to see both you and your dad and spend some time talking with both of you when I officiated the NCAA DII Women’s National Preview just three weeks ago.
It was always a pleasure to spend time with your dad, mom, your uncle Fritz and you at the club. God bless you.

We are so very sorry for your loss. Your dad was always a larger than life figure, someone we all could look up to. He hardly needed to say a word to get our attention, and we always felt lucky to be around him and hear his words of wisdom. He was so good to all of us growing up, and that is how he will always be remembered! He will be so missed, but his life and memory are a blessing we will always have, just like your Mom. I am so sorry for you’re loss..I will miss his kind words, advice ,generosity and the great big hugs I got .He was like my adoptive dad .I will mis you coming down to Florida showing me you’re church pictures, and we both loved candles and God ..You are sitting in that bubbly cloud with God and relaxing …I’m sure it will be that peace we talked about..
My deepest sympathy to Gary, Cathy, Sharon, Joe and Grandchiuldren. Your father and grandfather was a good mentor to me at a trying time in my banking career when I was questioning my abilities. I will never forget that day he met with me. He restored my self-confidence and the rest is history.
Gary- Please accept my condolences and deepest sympathy for you and your family. Your dad and I began our professional as well as a personal relationship in the late 1970s or early 80s which I valued very much. He was truly a unique individual and I sincerely mean that in a positive manner. He will be missed.
I will miss trying to think of what to feed you for lunch every day an your Santa like laugh. Glad I had an opportunity to know and work for you. You are and will be missed…

I came to know you and your dad when I was a member of Fox Run Golf Club. After I would play or practice, your dad would always come up to me and comment on my specific shots…eventhough I never saw him on the course. He could always see my surprise, and he would have a big grin on his face because of it. You could tell that he enjoyed that immensely.
These moments and his kindness are memories that I will always remember about your dad.
