Anthony John (“Tony”) Apicelli, Jr., age 74, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 in St. Louis, MO. Born in 1947 in Neptune, NJ, Tony was one of three sons of the late Antonio and Maria Apicelli. He received a bachelor’s degree from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA, a juris doctorate from Rutgers University in Camden, and was admitted to practice law in New Jersey. Tony practiced law for over 50 years, where he tirelessly advanced principles of fairness and equity. A lifelong public servant and community volunteer, Tony advised the Ewing Township planning board on vital public projects and devoted his time as an adult leader in both the Boy and Girl Scouts. In 1970 he married his childhood sweetheart, Patricia, who survives him, along with two sons, TJ (Angela Hirbe) and Michael (Anna Bartosiewicz), and grandchildren Gabriel, Isabelle, Charlie, Julia, and Flora. A private gathering in his remembrance will be held at a later date.
