Beloved husband of Nancy A. (Nicholson) Allen and the late Carole F. (Lynch) Allen; loving father of Lynne Carole (Tom) Mosier, Richard Walter Allen, and Stephen T. (Stephanie) Allen; loving step-father of the late Stephen K. Biermann and Shari (Scott) Ballard. Cherished grandfather of Adam T. and Jonathan Allen Mosier, McKenzie N., Devon C. and Macy R. Allen, Josh (Sarah) and Jake Ballard, Nick, Mitch (Heather) and Stacey Biermann. Great-grandfather of Isaac and Lyla Ballard, Kingston and Hendrix Biermann.  Devoted son of the late Walter J. and Ethel Yungermann Allen. Dearest brother of Ruth (Paul) Becker, Russell (Carolyn) Allen, William (Barbara)  Allen, and Joan Halter. Our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend.

Bud served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Artillery at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas from 1/1/55-1/1/57. Bud was founder and President of Veterinary Services, Inc., Allemed, Inc. and American Veterinary Distributors Association. He served on the board of Boatmen’s Bank of Concord Village, was a member of Rotary Club, and was involved in many charitable activities.

After retiring he was able to follow his lifelong passion of buying a farm and raising grass-fed cattle. He spent his later years living between Venice, Florida and St. Louis, Missouri.

Our family greatly appreciates the support, care and concern from the compassionate people at St. Luke’s Hospice and Compassionate Nursing Services.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, Friday, November 11, 4-8 p.m. then taken to St. Lucas UCC on Saturday for 11:00 a.m. service. Interment St. Lucas Cemetery. Memorial contributions to St. Lucas UCC, Shriners’  Hospital for Children or St. Luke’s Hospice appreciated.
