In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister JoAnn Trupiano; brother-in-law Jack Newman.

Roy was a retired veteran of the United States Army.
Roy enjoyed fishing on his boat and spending time with his loved ones.
Andy sends his most loving thoughts and prayers. Roy was a great brother-in-law and he will be missed.
Uncle Roy guided my life from childhood through college. He was kind and loving to me but his silliness and happiness were what endeared him to my heart. I spent a lot of time with him in Warrenton. I wrote him went he was in the army. He was a North Star to me and I thank God for him.
He was my loving husband. I loved him dearly. I will miss him the rest of the days of my life.
