John Bryce “JB” Gower, 34 years of age, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 after his lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis. He leaves behind his mother, Tammela Starks Rearden; father, John Cross Gower (spouse Laurie Gower); stepfather, Timothy P. Rearden (spouse Chi Kim); grandparent James H. Rearden; brother, Timothy T. Rearden; sisters, Kaitlin B. Danner (spouse Ronald Danner) and Rebecca S. Gower; uncles Frederick M. Gower (spouse Charlotte Gower), Glenwood A. Starks (spouse Steven Phillips), Paul L. Starks (spouse Cassandra Starks), James C. Rearden (spouse Ina Rearden) and William D. Rearden (spouse Rachel Feldman); aunts Eleanor A. Rednour (spouse Leonard Rednour, deceased), Karen E. Denton (spouse Terry Denton) and Mary G. Reardon; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Margaret C. House and Glenwood Starks, John G. Gower and Billie O. Gower, and Katheryn E. Rearden; and his uncles Granville O. Gower (spouse Kathryn Gower) and Richard A. Rearden.

JB graduated from Hazelwood Central High School in 2001 before launching a career in music. He was an avid and talented musician, singing and playing guitar in several bands across many genres of music. JB wrote and recorded numerous songs throughout his career. He was a loyal son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend who left behind countless cherished memories with his loved ones. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in JB’s honor.

Visitations and services will be held at Kutis Funeral Home in St. Louis, located at 10151 Gravois Road. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 7 from 4-8pm, with a memorial service slated for 7pm.
