Brenneman, Matilda (Til) R. (nee Schaeffer)Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Thursday, November 19th, at the age of 107. Most loving wife of the late Carl Brenneman. Most precious mother of Catherine Brenneman and Carol Brenneman Gannon. Beloved grandmother of Paul Gannon, David Gannon and Kathleen Gannon Carter. Great grandmother to Paul (Frank) Gannon III, Patrick Gannon, Molly Carter, Charlotte Ann Gannon, Katie Carter and Elizabeth Gannon. Dearest aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt. Til, as she was know to friends, had a long, successful career in advertising, first with the St. Louis Globe Democrat, then the Southside Journal (now Suburban Journals) and finally with the St. Louis Post Dispatch. She was a member of the St. Louis Newspaper Guild and the St. Louis Press Club, and was active with a wide range of charitable organizations, including the St. Louis Peregrine Society. Wake on Tuesday, November 24th, at Kutis Funeral Home, Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, St. Louis, MO, beginning at 3:00pm. Mass on Wednesday, November 25th, at 10:00am, at Annunciation Catholic Church, 12 West Glendale, Webster Groves, MO, followed immediately by internment at Valle Spring Cemetery, in Ste. Genevieve, MO. Masses preferred, in lieu of flowers, or contributions made to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, 1465 S. Grand Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63104.
