Van Sluys, Cynthia L. (nee Knittel), age 59, passed away peacefully after a long struggle with cancer surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 4, 2018. She is preceded in death by her father Stephen Knittel. She is survived by her husband Wayne Van Sluys, son Clark Litty, mother Dolores Knittel; brothers Chris (Rose) Knittel, Louis Knittel and sister Lisa (John) Royle; daugh-ter-in-law of Willard and Ruth Van Sluys; sister-in-law to Brian (Angie) Van Sluys, Steven Van Sluys and Brenda (Don) Eberle; dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Cindy was an active member in the Mehlville Garden Club and was active in the 19th Century Living History Reenactments. The family would like to thank St. Anthony’s Hospice for the care and comfort they provided to Cindy in her final days. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. A KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY service
