Chettle, Kenneth G. Jr. Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church Friday, October 28, 2016. Born in St. Louis, cherished son of the late Kenneth and Lillian Chettle (nee Gregory); loving husband of 49 years to the late Marie D. Chettle (nee Goetzheimer); dear father of Colleen (Jerry) Thomas of Climax Springs, Craig (Nancy) Chettle of Kansas City, Kenny (Shelly) Chettle of St. Louis and Jerry (Denice) Chettle of Kansas City; brother to Jim (Betty) Chettle, Joyce (Jim) Biggs, preceded in death by siblings Mary Lautenschlager, Alan Chettle, Sue Stein, Nancy Duncan, Vicky Chettle and Mike Chettle; grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

A graduate of St. John the Baptist High School, Ken spent his career working in the grocery business.  After first gaining experience as a salesman for multiple companies, he spent 35 years as owner of Hautly Cheese Company in Kansas City. He retired in 1997, moved back to St. Louis where he enjoyed retirement by reconnecting with friends and family, making many new friends,  playing golf or meeting almost daily for morning coffee. His outgoing, fun loving personality and generous  spirit will be greatly missed.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Wednesday, November 2, 9:30 a.m. to Assumption Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Agatha Church, 3239 S. 9th St., (63118) or American Parkinson’s Disease Association appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, 4-8 p.m.
