Russell D. Hickman born June 6, 1948 in Danville, IL passed Friday, May 5, 2023 in St. Louis, MO.  Dear husband and best friend of Judy Hickman (nee: Vemmer) for 38 years; dear father of Bryan (Jeanne), Stephanie (Brian Malin), Rachel (Brian Kelly), Erin (Brian Radin) and Bethany (Dan Vonder Haar); beloved PaPa of Josh (Chelsea), Connor, Hannah, James, Rylee, Caleb, Joseph, Jonathan and Gabriel.  They will forever remember their PaPa for his love of the St. Louis Cardinals, orange slices and dillybars.  Dear son of the late Emil Russell Hickman and Mae Louise (nee:Downey) Hickman and brother of the late Richard “Rick” and Russ’ first wife the late Grace Marie Hickman.

Russ served his country in Vietnam after being drafted in the U.S. Army, he was an expert marksman.  Russ’ last gift was a donation to  Mid-America Transplant which benefitted many people.  Memorial contributions to American Heart Association, appreciated.

A memorial service will be held at St. Philips United Church of Christ 10708 Lavinia Drive St. Louis, MO 63123, Saturday, May 20, 2023, 10am with a reception following until 12pm.  Arrangements by Kutis South County Chapel.
