was born on March 10, 1939 to Anthony and Vita (nee Bonuso) Trupiano in St. Louis, Missouri and entered into rest on April 26, 2023 at the age of 84.
Joseph is the loving husband of Jacqueline (nee Schmitz) Trupiano. Dear father of Michael, Tim and Jeffrey Trupiano. Brother of the late Vito (Mickey) Trupiano, the late Frank (Martha) Trupiano, Catherine (Joe) Trupiano, Rose (Louie) Trupiano and Andy (Ruth) Trupiano. Cousin, Uncle, Great-Uncle, Nephew and friend to many.
Joseph enjoyed woodcarving and he was a military history buff. He was a world traveler and one of his greatest joys was cutting grass on his John Deere riding mower!
SERVICES: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel May 2, from 9 – 11:30 am. Funeral service on Tuesday, May 2, 11:30 a.m. Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery. Memorials to Charity of your choice.
Joe will be dearly missed. It breaks my heart to think of all the times I wanted to call just to see how he’s been doing and failed to do so. Even Carol’s cousin, Cheri, was asking last Friday about Joe. She knew him from setting at our table with Joe at the Sicilian club. The pandemic really threw everyone off on plans to get together. I hope it will give you comfort knowing that Uncle Joe will always be remembered with fond thoughts.
It was a pleasure to know Joe while he worked at Horner & Shifrin. Every year he would organize our Toys for Tots fundraiser to bring joy to kids in the area. Please accept our condolences on behalf of everyone at Horner & Shifrin.
I so enjoyed working with Joe at Horner & Shifrin between 2001-2003. He was so kind and funny. I know many of his coworkers really enjoyed being around him. My deepest sympathies to his family.
Our deepest sorry for the loss of our cousin Joe. We enjoyed our time together at our lunches on the Hill. Tony was named after his father and loved him dearly. We will miss him and send our prayers to Jacki and his family.

So very sorry to hear this. We lived by them for 28 years & he was always such a nice man. Praying for Jackie & the family.
Joe was my volunteer buddy at the Missouri Botanical Garden and we worked together every Tuesday for more than five yrs. Joe was always saying wasn’t it time for a coffee break. We both knew where the free coffee was stashed and did a good job of hiding there. Joe said what will they do if they catch us, fire us? we’re volunteers.
Joe was also my lunch buddy and we would meet at Steak n Shake on Telegraph to lie and tell stories to each other.
Don’t worry Joe if you are a little short on cash I will pick up the tab!

I am so sorry to hear of my uncle Joe’s passing. We saw him and Jackie last year when we were in St. Louis with my daughter Molly and her family. Molly named her first born Vita after my grandmother and Joe’s mother. He never forgot that. Je even made a quilt rack for her when she was 3 years old. He is the last of the Trupiano’s on my my mom’s side. We loved hearing Joe’s stories of my grandma and grandpa Trupiano.
