(Jackie) Loness; Ronda (Steven) Pennington, David Loness and Janice Loness; Carol’s children Larry Warren Jr. and Monica Johnson; dear grandpa of Brandon (Shanna), Brittany (Joshua), Rusty Jr (Carrie), Lindsey (Rafel), Helana, Rachel (Jake), Jesse (Victoria), Madison (Johnathan), Tristan and Anna-Grace; great-grandpa of Diana, Jolee, Rusty III, Brockton, Ariana, Hailey, Zachary, Devon, Ethan, Noelle, Landon, Kale, Adah, Bailey, Adeline and Teagan; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend of many.
Funeral Tuesday, May 2, 9:00 a.m. at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd. Interment May 2, 1:00 p.m. at Bernie Cemetery (Bernie, MO). In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Lung Association. Visitation Monday 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
I lost my best friend today at 12:39 am. He can breathe now with no oxygen or inhalers. I love you my Leo with all my heart & soul. I will see you again someday. ❤️
We met Leo over 27 years ago when we moved in next door to him and his late wife. We became friends immediately. A few years later, when he and Carol got together they bought a new home in the same neighborhood and moved across and a little down the street from us! BUT God had plans for us all to stay together!
We bought the house right next door to them! And for the next 17+ years we all bonded and became family!
Watching those kids(we always called them the kids) be so active and living life together was a joy!
We moved a year and a half ago and if we could have taken them with us, we would have!
So blessed to have had such a wonderful man in our lives and our children just loved him! He watched them grow up!!
Leo, we will miss you and we love you!

He was and always will be my Grandpa Leo. He has been a part of my life from the earliest days I can remember. First, when he and my grandparents were best friends then when he married my Grandma Joannie. He was a loving and supportive husband to her and for that, he will always have a special place in my heart. We’ve lost touch through the years but time does not change who he was. The last few times we talked, he was happy and found love again with you, Carol but he is flying high now.
Dear Loness family and loved ones, so sorry for your loss. Leo was so kind to everyone. He had a great laugh and a wonderful sense of humor. Keeping you all in thoughts and prayer during this difficult time. May the Holy Spirit bring you peace and comfort in knowing you will be together again. Love and blessings to you all.
