Katrina was one of the most affectionate, caring and loving person that I have worked with at Mercy Hospital. Always had an infectious smile on her face and positive attitude up her sleeves. She went above and beyond to take care of her patients. An absolute gem of an person.

My deepest condolences to Katrina’s family and friends. She was very committed to patient care and gave her best at work. She will be deeply missed ! I’m still at a loss. We were just in Mexico having the time of our lives and now I’m only left with memories. No more to build, just an empty space. I’m so fortunate to have known you for several years. You were an amazing friend and wonderful nurse practitioner. I’ll miss our memory building.
I met Katrina in August 2020 when I started working at Mercy South as a new hospitalist. From the first week I started, she was there for me- answering any questions I had and helping me learn all the ins and outs of the hospital. We quickly became friends, bonding over everything from TV shows that we both loved to sharing cute pictures of our nieces/nephews. She made Mercy feel like home during the pandemic when my family in Florida felt really far away.
Katrina, I’m so lucky that I met you & got to call you my friend! I was so excited for you to come visit this summer in Florida and later this year at my wedding! I will miss you SO much.

Katrina was a staple in my life in that I always expected her to be a part of my life. I’m sure that is true for so many of the people who were lucky to have Katrina in their life.
That is what makes this even that more difficult. My sincere condolences for all that loved Katrina. I’m forever changed for knowing Katrina and the same is true with her passing.
She was a rare soul who wasn’t afraid to be herself and that is one of the many things I admired and loved about her.

She was a gem of a person for both her patients and colleagues, she was my go to person when I started my job at Mercy South, never hesitated in answering questions and helping out. She left a void that cannot be filled. It will take a long time to get used to working without having her around. Katrina was a rare individual she was a very close friend to my family my sons were extremely close to her Timmy and Tyler, Katrina was close enough to my sons that she was always invited to go on family vacations with us she was always a lot of fun in the life of the party!!! Katrine and I got close because of my cooking she loved the way I made my hamburgers and Wood call me out of the blue just a tease me and give me trouble of when I was going to be cooking for her next I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed her company when I had it and how much I’m gonna miss it now that I don’t all my love Katrina rest in peace on me
Katrina was well-loved and respected by all who knew her and her loss has left a void that will never be filled. Her presence and company always brightened the days of those around her and she is sorely missed.
