As a twelve year old entrepreneur, Elbert started a bicycle repair shop. His careers lead him to data processing and as a computer programmer for a major insurance company. Elbert especially enjoyed his many grand-children and great-grandchildren, travel, camping across the country, completing numerous construction and ongoing gardening projects.

Kim and Andy , I am so sorry for your loss. He will live on in the memories of all the people who knew him and loved him. His memory will live on in the stories that you tell your children and grandchildren
A wonderful and unique man who, for the almost 50 years we were fellow church members with him, always had stories to tell, and tell them he would! I recall him always making it a point to seek out others to converse with at church on any number of topics but the exchanges always seemed to end in laughter and smiles. Elbert never failed to show concern for us and all our family members as we’d talk before or after church services each Sunday when he and Julie could attend. He will always hold a dear spot in our memories as we mourn his passing. Our prayers go out to his entire family!
