McNeill, John B. III was called home Christmas Day on Sunday, December 25, 2022. Beloved husband and best friend of Linda S. McNeill (nee Allen); loving father of John (Michelle) McNeill, Michelle (Chris) Cook and Jeremy (Kim) McNeill; cherished grandpa of Riley, Carter and Hayden, Briton, Blake and Mya; our dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, great-great uncle, cousin and friend to many.
John was passionate about his time serving his country, his faith and family, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He is gone….but never forgotten.
Services: Funeral at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. on Tuesday, January 3, 10:00 a.m. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in John’s memory maybe made to the Wounded Warrior Project or any Veteran’s group appreciated. Visitation, Monday 4-7 p.m.
Johnnie was a wonderful person and follower of Christ. He will be missed by many. Love and will miss you!

John and I didn’t spend a lot of time together, but when we around me he was a really kind man. He had a good sense of humor and seem to say something that would get a chuckle out of you. We will miss you John. Rest in peace.
John was the best brother-in-law anyone could have. Loving, caring would do anything for you. His love for Jesus was contagious and lead a lot of people to the Lord. He will be missed dearly but never forgotten. Rest in peace with so many gone before you. ❤️
Johnny was the most passionate loving and caring brother. He was very special to me he showed his love in so many ways to me, we prayed togethered we laughed alot. I am going to miss him until the day I get to see him again. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. Until we meet again. Love you big brother.
Brother John had a profound influence on my spiritual life as a young Christian through teaching the Word and living the Word. I am forever grateful. My condolences to Linda, John, Michelle , Jeremy and their families
Johnny was a great and loving and funny person. Who would help you no matter what time of the day or night. He was a man of God. He will be missed by everybody. I love having Johnny as a brother in law. I could always talk to him about Jesus he knew his bible from front to back. I’m going to miss you. R.I.P.
My dear friend and co labor at Adult & Teen Challenge of St. Louis has graduated to heaven on Christmas Day. John volunteered for several years with teaching and discipling several men at the center. He always was willing to give of himself and serve others. A great friend and encourager to all who knew him. The best witness for Jesus–he had a great gift of evangelism, winning the lost for Jesus. A joy and friend for those who know him. A lasting legacy to all of the love of Jesus.
Dad,
I don’t even know where to start. You meant the world to me, and this world is a colder place without you in it. I want to tell you so many things…first of all, I am cheering for you as loud as I can. You made it, you did it, you not only finished your race, you finished it sooo well! I always looked up to you, you were my hero as a little boy and you’re still my hero now. You taught me how to be a man….you told me every time you saw me to live a life of love…I want you to know that I will the best I know how. You were a great man, a great father, and a great friend to me. You told me before you passed that you will walk along the roses again….I believe you. I can’t wait to walk there with you. I love you Dad!❤️
My Brother John,
You have gone on before us and we will seek to follow you. You have shown so many the way to eternal life and now you have received yours. I truly believe when you closed your eyes here you opened them in heaven. I envision you going into the Pearly gates a shouting Glory to God in the Highest! And probably told St. Peter a joke upon entering. Our hearts go out to Linda, your children their spouses and and your grandchildren. John was truly a brother. As a teen I was truly affected by his gentle spirit and strong commitment to the things of God. Only excellent memories of John.
John was one of the kindest most compassionate men of God that I have ever met. He always talked about his greatest joy, spending time with his grandchildren. He told stories of ministering on Cherokee Street in St. Louis, where he saw the Lord bring salvation and healing. He loved to teach about the tabernacle and blow the shofar.
Our Dear friend Linda & Family , We are so sorry to hear this news . John was a great man of God . We loved John like a brother. He was precious. He left an imprint on our hearts that will last forever.
One morning at church, he asked us if he could pray for Donnie, because at that time, Donnie was having episodes of psychotic issues of course we said yes. When he finished praying he ask Donnie, how do you feel Donnie.? Expecting to get an answer that said, I’m totally healed, but instead, Donnie replied baked potatoes, that’s what we were having for lunch. With that answer, there was a shocking expression on John’s face. When we moved, we never was able to tell John, Donnie has never had another psychotic episodes .
We know today John is shouting glory because he knows his prayers were answered that day. We love you all and your in our prayers .
