Smith, Geraldine “Jerry” From the loving embrace of her family to the loving embrace of her Savior, passed peacefully into the Kingdom of Heaven on Friday, December 23rd, 2022 at the age of 94.
Beloved wife of the late Leonard C. Smith; loving mother to William (Laura) Smith, Richard (Marilyn) Smith, Michael (Kay) Smith, Janet (Michael) Mayfield, and Kathleen (Ross) Wamser. Dear grandmother and “Gigi” to 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Dear aunt and friend to many. Jerry loved the word of God and was committed to teaching others. She will be deeply missed by her family, her friends, and her church family, for she wrote her name on all of their hearts.

Services: Funeral at First Baptist Church of Oakville, 6741 Telegraph Road Friday, Dec. 30th, 12pm; Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation Friday, Dec. 30th 9 a.m. till time of service at First Baptist Church of Oakville.

So saddened to hear the news of the passing of Geraldine ! What a wonderful, Christian woman that I was privileged to have known for many years through the friendship of Mike and Janet. My children loved her and we often visited with her at the Mayfield gatherings that we were so graciously invited to. May her soul rest in peace .

Miss Jerry was the sweetest Sunday School teacher to many children at First Baptist Church of Oakville – including my 3 sons. She taught great lessons and worked many crafts with the children. She went above and beyond for her students. I will miss her smiling face.
