Nicholas Joseph Bommarito passed away peacefully on September 1, 2022 at the age of 86, in his birthplace of St. Louis, Missouri. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph N. Bommarito and Catherine E.(nee Mannweiler), and his grandson Salvadore Bommarito. He is survived by his children, Ricky J. Bommarito, Dianne E.(Michael) Dussold, Cathleen M.(David) Manley, and Mark R.(Laura) Bommarito. His grandchildren, Corey M.(Jennifer) Dussold, Kyle M. Dussold, Nataly A. Dussold, Blake Toth, Austin N.(Abigail-fiancee) Bommarito, Chase M. Bommarito, and Skylar M. Bommarito, and his great grandchild, Landon R. Dussold.

Married to JoAnn(McDonald)Hayden from June 1960-1971. Dad was proud and passionate about boy scouts and earning his Eagle Scout badge. His persistence, dedication, and passion, earned him medals as a high school champion swimmer. His love of the water continued into his adult years at the Lake of the Ozarks where he built a little cove in Osage Beach. Dad was a second generation carpenter and developer in St. Louis, proud member of The Hill 2000 and Elks club member of Washington, avid pilot, and was proud of his gardens. His passion for these things grew to leave a legacy for years to come with the creation of Bommarito Estate Winery in the heart of Missouri wine country. He was a well respected winemaker and viticulturist in this community. For the last 25 years the Bommaritio family has worked together and will continue this legacy. He was most proud of his grandchildren and all the pathways they took in life. He will continue to support them and watch over them as they grow into persistent, dedicated, and passionate human beings..

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 4-8 pm with prayer service on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022 at 1 pm, burial at Sunset Cemetery to follow prayer service at Affton Kutis Funeral Home,10151 Gravois Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123
