Beloved wife of the late Orbie Guy Wheeler; loving mother of Joe (Sharon), Jeff, Bill (Michelle), Tim (Nicole) and Dan (Stephanie) Wheeler and the late Michael (Lisa survives) Wheeler; dear grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 11; dear sister of Lorraine (Bob) Bridges, Corrine (the late Paul) Tindall, Margie (the late Charlie) Cook, Jim Schmidt, Ann (Jim) Davis and the late Alvie Callahan, Roman Conaway, Howard Conaway, Paul Conaway, Clyde Conaway and Ray Schmidt.
Services: Funeral from KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Wednesday, July 13, 9:00AM. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Cancer Society appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, 4-8 p.m.

Mom I miss you already!! You were my 2nd mom for 35 years and then after my mom passed you became my mom all around for the following 9 years. You have helped me in so many ways, 2 very important ways 1. You raised Joe to be a a wonderful husband and Father. 2. Leading me to Jesus. Thank you!! I love you

To the Wheeler family, I’m so sorry for the loss of your sweet mom and my dear friend Josie. My heartfelt condolences to everyone of you. She was beautiful inside and out. We met at church, and she was such an inspiration to me & an encourager. Helped me to get through some very hard situations in my personal life. My heart is heavy, but happy, because she’s with Jesus & her beloved Orbie, and the rest of her family and friends who gone on before. I just heard the tragic news of my dear friend Josie. My heart is broken that I did not know in time to pay my respects. She was such a wonderful beautiful Christian woman. She poured out her love for every little child that she watched as if they were her own. I know my boys thought of her as their own grandma. She was so giving and compassionate. I’m sorry I didn’t get to visit her after the pandemic hit. I know she is so happy to be with her Jesus, Orbie, and Michael. I’m % sure Jesus said upon her arrival, WELL DONE, MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT! I love you Josie Wheeler RIP!
