Jennie B. Elliott (nee Moore) entered her eternal rest on June 10, 2022, at the age of 72. Jennie was born on May 31, 1950 in Blytheville, Arkansas. The fifth of eight children, Jennie grew up in a house full of love and support, led by her parents, Sam Moore and Curllee Moore (nee Smith).
Jennie, known as “Ishe” to her family, was the best of the best. To say that she was a kind, gentle, and hardworking person would be a major understatement. She was as kind hearted as can be, finding the grace and silver lining in even the worse of times.
Jennie was a radiologic technologist at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital for 40 years. She was very hardworking. Not only did she complete her assigned job, but she offered to help her co-workers without them even asking. For her, it was about the patients – the children. She would do whatever she could to help them.
Children held a special place in Jennie’s heart her entire life. Having children and grandchildren of her own, she would strive to do whatever she could to help them learn and grow. If ever there was a Superwoman in real life, those who knew her best saw that she came the closest to it.
Jennie was an introvert, but she was full of love, wisdom, fun and support. She loved to hang out and have fun with her friends and family. She had a wondrously great laugh and was full of excitement when she was around the people that she loved. A dancer at heart, Jennie danced to the end. She even shook maracas and tapped her feet to music just a few days before she passed.
She loved books, music and movies. She loved romance and spy novels, and a few of her favorite authors were Ludlum, Lindsey, Balogh and Roberts. Her favorite musical artist was Smokey Robinson. Her favorite movies were action and romance films, with some of her favorite stars being Keanu and Denzel.
Jennie was a rarity among gems. She was loved and will continue to be loved by so many that met and knew her.
Jennie was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt, niece, cousin and friend. Jennie is survived by: her two children, William M. Elliott and Marlene A. Elliott; her siblings: Eddie (Mary) Moore, Pearl Brown (nee Moore), Johnnie Moore, Sam (Loretta) Moore, Jr., Don (the late Gwendolyn) Moore, Mildredine Moore, and Curtis Moore; her three grandchildren: Jordan Ellliott, Autumn Elliott and Mia Elliott; her two great-grandchildren: Heavenly Love and Candyce Lee; her uncles and aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be deeply and warmly missed.
