Richard Lee Braddy, age 76, passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on Sunday, June 12, 2022 surrounded by family and loved ones.
Richard was born on June, 1, 1946 to Millard Price Braddy and Ollie Mae (Arnett) Braddy. Richard married Mary Kathleen (Fraser) Minks. (deceased, age 62). Richard and Kathy gave birth to their daughter, Candice Lynn Braddy (deceased, age 29) on July 15, 1972. Richard worked in the bakery and confectionery union until retirement. Richard loved his wife Kathy and daughter Candice more than anything. Richard loved the outdoors and loved to go on fishing trips. He was a dedicated life long member to South Broadway Athletic Club. He loved Cadillac cars, and everyone knew him as “Cadillac Rich”. Richard faced many trials and tribulations in his lifetime and was a fighter, and he never let anything get the best of him. He loved Cardinals baseball and was able to witness a Blues Stanley cup in his lifetime. \
Richard is survived by his two grandchildren, Carissa Braddy and Jennifer Baldasso, his two great grandchildren, Brooke Baldasso and Hailey Baldasso, his step daughter Gena (Minks) Harbison, many cousins, and friends.
After losing his daughter Candice in 2001, he took pride in raising his grandchildren and spent all of his time with them. The happiest day of Richard’s life was in 2016, when his great granddaughter Brooke was born. Richard was fortunate to be able to live with all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren and watch them grow up. Richard hung on as long as he could aching to meet his newest great granddaughter Hailey. Through all the good and bad times they shared, Richard loved Carissa and Jennifer more than anything and he would do anything for them that he possibly could. His sarcasm, witty humor, and love for all of the girls will be cherished and missed dearly.
As “OG” Grandpa would say, it’s not goodbye, it’s see you later. There’s always next time.
Richard will be forever remembered and his legacy continues through his grandchildren. He will be loved and missed by so many, endlessly and dearly.

Rich was a dedicated 40 plus year member of South Broadway Athletic Club and always put a smile on my face when I’d see him. He was a pleasure to be around, and I’m honored to have met him and got to know him over the last several years. He will be missed missed greatly.
Dad, I’m really going to miss you! Truly thankful that you walked me down the isle and gave me away. I will miss cutting your hair and spending time with you. I will see you again in heaven!
Rich was one of the first people I met when I joined the South Broadway Athletic Club, and welcomed me right away. We are already missing having him around. I’m deeply sorry for your loss.
I had a great time getting to know Rich at SBAC. He always greeted everyone warmly, and was fun to work with on wrestling nights. The club and its members will miss him. Take it easy Cadillac!
Cadillac was one hell of guy,we had some good times. I am very sorry for your loss, and the loss to the club and anyone who has had the privilege to get popcorn from a true stud like Rich. I love that guy.
