Faught, Norman L. “Pedro”, passed away on June 11, 2022.
Beloved husband of Ann Faught (nee Sleamaker); loving father of Clay (Roxanne) Bratton; cherished grandfather of Beau, Bennett and Blake Bratton; dear uncle of Meredith (Dorothy), Erika (Dave), Greg (Michelle, Jamie (Jeni), Teri (Keith), Leslie (John), Kelly, Kendall (Paula), Paula (Pat) and Adian (Iris) and great-uncle to Will and Kate; dear friend and “uncle” to Gabby, Matthew and John.
Mr. Faught was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1951-1953 during the Korean War. He graduated from St. Louis University with a business degree in 1973. He retired from the Chrysler Corp. in 1998 after working for Chrysler for 45 and 1/2 years. Norm was a devout Christian and member of the First Baptist Church of Arnold. He was a devoted husband to Ann, being married for over 50 years, and a wonderful father who never missed his son’s sporting events. He loved the many beagles he had over the years and enjoyed sitting on the back porch with them. He cherished time with his brothers and their extended families on hunting and golf trips. He was passionate about University of Kentucky basketball games, St. Louis Cardinal baseball games, and playing golf. He enjoyed watching his grandsons play baseball and football. Norm never met a stranger and could talk to anyone about anything at anytime. His kind heart and gentle spirit will be missed.
Services: Funeral at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Saturday, June 18, 12:00 noon. Interment with honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials to Toys for Tots, or Alzheimers Assn. appreciated. Visitation Friday, 4:00 to 7:00 pm
Ann and Norman were dear friends and neighbors for many years. Norman and my late husband were golfing buddies and enjoyed many discussions about sports…esp. if they related to Kentucky basketball and golf. I am sure Don was waiting for Norman in Heaven for his good friend, Norman, and they are catching up after a long time. We love you, Norman, God’s speed.
Although I arrived at SLAP in ‘99, seems there were many fond tales of laughter and friendship when coworkers / friends spoke of “Pedro!” It was clear to me that this was someone loved by many – made me wish I had had the opportunity to also have worked with him!
Praying for Pedro and those who will miss him, but I’m betting his legacy will be long lasting.

I truly enjoyed being in the company of Norm. He had a tremendous talent for sharing memories in such a way that you felt like you were there with him. Always such a positive spirited individual as well !!!!

I have known Ann and Norm since I was 6 months old, they are like family to our family. Norm was so nice, funny and so wonderful to be around, hope there is a cold one waiting for him in heaven.

Even though we only knew Norm a few months as Ken Sr’s roommate at the memory care facility, we believe that they were able to be a support for each other during that time. Ann, you were so remarkable, visiting with Norm often for many hours a day. Christy and I express our heartfelt thoughts in the moment of sorrow.
Norm and Ann were good friends since we met them over 50 years ago when our families lived in the same apartment building. Since then they’ve always been in our lives even though in many of those years we didn’t live in the same state. Visits and phone calls were frequent and when we finally moved back to St. Louis our friendship picked up as if we never were apart. Norm and his stories will definitely be missed.
