Proehl, Donald M. Baptized into the hope of Christ’s Resurrection, Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at age 93. Dear husband of Ruth T. Proehl (nee Schaefer) for over 72 years; loving father of Don (Debbie) Proehl, Cindy (Tim Stanley) Proehl, Rick (Helen) Proehl and Barb (Charlie) Leonard; cherished grandpa of 8; great-grandpa of 11 and baby on the way; our dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin,  hero and friend to many.

Don served proudly in the US Navy for 2 years and was a faithful member of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church from the beginning. He was a coach and assistant coach for many of his sons’ sports teams. Don also was a member of several American Legion posts, lastly Post #162 and also a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge #5. He is gone, but never forgotten.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Wednesday, March 16, 9:30 a.m. to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment JB National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a veteran’s group of your choice appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, 4-8 p.m.
