Asleep in Jesus, on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Son of the late Elmer and Hilda (nee: Brunke). Husband of the late Juanita (nee: Fischer) and the late Erlynne (nee: Bratvogel). Father of Karen Gaebler and Lynn Torno, Cindy (nee: Bratvogel) and Keith Putnam, Ken Bratvogel, Rodger and Barbara Bratvogel and the late Glenda Livingstone. Loving grandfather of Nathan Torno, Andrew Torno, Nicole deGreeff, Dan Putnam, Krista (Putnam) Bull. Blessed great-grandfather of many. Dear cousin of Bill Bodenschatz and friend of many. SERVICES: Visitation at Lutheran Church of Webster Gardens, 8749 Watson Rd., on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 9 am until funeral service time at 10 am. Burial Sunset Cemetery. Memorials to Lutheran Church of Webster Gardens or Concordia Seminary, appreciated.

We were always happy to see Grandpa Gaebler when his grandkids were gathered. It wouldn’t have been a cousins party without himI see him as an owner of true faith. Thanks for the examples, Jim!

Jim was a man who knew that through Jesus God loved him and he tried to show that love to everyone he met. His family was near to him as well as his friends and acquaintances. He was a wonderful traveling companion on our many camping trips. Together we enjoyed activities and God’s creation, in every season of the year. Just is the family will remember him we will also. We thank God that Jim was placed in our lives and through him gave us encouragement and showed us God’s love.
