Kelly, Benjamin S. Jr.
Age 70, of Lemay passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, following a yearlong battle with cancer. Beloved husband of 46 years to Marilyn Kelly. Father of Steven and Timothy (Jessica) Kelly. Dearest brother-in-law of Stephanie Wood and Kathy Wood. Our dear uncle and friend.
Ben was a proud member of the St. Louis Carpenters Union for over 47 years. He was president of Local #1739 for 20+ years and President of the St. Louis Carpenters District Council for 15+ years and a member of Millwright Local #716.
Services: Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY 5255 Lemay Ferry Tuesday., February 1 from 4-8PM. Burial to be private. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Ben Kelly’s name to: Carpenters Scholarship Fund (c/o Scholarship Committee 1401 Hampton Avenue St. Louis, MO 63139) or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Ben is still a powerful man. Ben fought injustice to help many of his brothers and sisters in the Carpenter’s Trade. Ben will be forever known as a leader of patience wisdom and fairness, as well as a Great Leader for Equality in the Construction Workforce.
Ben will be sorely missed. But please realize that in Heaven, he will display his talents before the King of Carpenters. The Ivory Palaces up above needed the Man of Ben’s Stature to Build Them. I will miss him till I see him again. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU ALWAYS, in JESUS’ name, amen
