Marsha was dear friend, colleague within the BTFS Joint Venture and Ft. Irwin project, and a respected project manager. She sincerely cared for her onsite team and welcomed others like a “family member” visiting for the holidays. I will miss our conversations about our service under CENTCOM during OEF/OIF and her beloved cats, which she cherished. I know she is in a better place now and pain free. I wish her “fair winds and following seas.”
May the thoughts and memories of Marsha offer some comfort at this dreadful time. Marsha was a consumate professional and a friend. When she worked as the Director of Contract Admin at Baylor Scott & White Health the depth of her caring was immeasurable. Marsha would provide support and offer words of wisdom. She will forever be missed not only by those who knew her but by mankind. Marsha was a beacon that all should strive to emulate.

I first met Marsha when she was at USAMMCE in Pirmasens, Germany. I was immediately drawn to her as a leader and mentor. Over the years we have had wonderful interactions and I knew Marsha was always someone I could count on.

Marsha was a beloved colleague who continued to support the U.S. Army Medical Department evwn after retirement from the U.S. Army, while serving as a Project Manager.
Anyone who worked with Marsha on the Fort Irwin Replacement Hospital project will tell you how devoted she was at ensuring those of us on her team were providing the very best service. She had a way of making the construction trailer far more bearable and homely. Marsha would also share stories of the various coyotes found on the remote California training base. Marsha always had a way of bringing a smile to the team. She is sorely missed.
COL Langlois was one of my first female mentors as I joined the Medical Logistics Community when I attended the 70K Course. She guided me on my Army journey as a multifunctional medical logistician. I am forever grateful for her leadership, mentorship & friendship throughout my Army career. She will be greatly missed. COL Langlois was a blessing to so many & her memory will be forever in our hearts. Words cannot truly express how I feel about Marsha. When we were both working in Galveston/Houston area two years ago, we quickly became close like family. Marsha was a great leader and mentor.
Not only did Marsha mentioned she was my battle buddy multiple times, she showed in action she had my back during one of the most challenging times I had in my life and career. Marsha always shared her love and thoughtfulness of others in many ways like picking up the bill for outings, bringing snacks to the office and even made sure coyotes were fed when she was in Fort Irwin. What I also love about Marsha is how much she can light up the room with her positive energy and sense of humor. Marsha will always have a special place in my heart.

Marsha was a wonderful woman. In her personal and her professional life. I loved her dearly as her sister in law but was honored to have her as my friend. She was of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She earned her Master of Science Degree in Materiel Acquisition Management from Florida Institute of Technology. Marsha was commissioned a Second Lieutenant, Medical Service Corps. through ROTC in 1983 and is a graduate of the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Basic and Advanced Courses, USAMMA Internship Program, Procurement Internship Program, Logistics Executive Development Course Florida Institute of Technology and Command and General Staff College.

I fondly remember Marsha as a superb officer and medical logistician, and as a wonderful mentor. She readily accepted challenging assignments and put her heart into making her teams successful. She rose to unique and exceptional roles, particularly commander of USAMMC-SWA and Director for Medical Materiel at DSCP. Her technical skills were matched by her good humor and down-to-earth practicality. I also remember her love of family; I once rode with her late one night into downtown Tokyo to find Hard Rock Cafe charms for her niece(s). COL Marsha Langlois’ service to our country was consequential on so many levels. My condolences and thanks to her family.
I first met COL Langlois in Germany, during my USAMMA internship in 2003. She was a great Army Officer, and also a great person. My condolences to her family and friends.
Marsha was a great boss, a trusted mentor, a beloved friend, and an ardent patriot. Quick with a smile, slow to judge, and always ready to share her wisdom with anyone curious enough to ask her opinion. Jen and I will remember her most fondly as the DCO at USAMMC-E during the difficult years that followed 9-11; during which time, I found myself grateful, in equal parts, for both her leadership and her friendship. The world is surely a lesser place without her; but thanks to her, and the short time our paths crossed, I am surely a better person. Jen and I offer our prayers and condolences to her family and all those who feel the sting of this loss.
My memory of Marsha was when she was in charge of Operations at USAMMCE. Her knowledge of Logistics operations and willingness to do things the right way, allowed her to make a change in how medical material was being shipped into Iraq. After calling her and describing the how things were being sent to the MEDLOG in Iraq, she took action and the very next triwall that made it to our location was the way it should be. This simple but significant change kept allowed my soldiers to cut customer wait time by nearly 3 days and probably even saved countless numbers of soldiers. She was a LTC at that point and was a in a very prestigious position. This situation displayed one of the best things I remember about her. She could have been the Secretary of Defense, but she would sit down and listen to a private and workout whatever issue that was laid out on the table. She was a people person and didnt let anything get in the way of kindness, generosity and the fact that she was a person like everyone else. I am happy to have met such a wonderful person and soldier. RIP Mam and my condolences to her family. Thanks for all that you did and the impact you made.
Marsha will always be remembered as a special person; caring, mentoring, and leading, who impacted so many lives in a positive fashion. I like so many others was fortunate to work with Marsha for well over 30 years in both the military and Faithful+Gould. Her logistics skillset was only second to her people skills as she worked and completed significant size projects. Always creating an environment that facilitated high performance work and performers, Marsha’s ability to motivate, mentor, coach, and instruct allows her memory to continue through so many. So surprised and sorry to hear of the loss of Marsha. It was a pleasure to serve with her in the Army Medical Service Corps! I truly hope all remember her support and care for the Soldiers both in garrison and in the field. My heartfelt sympathy to the family members she leaves behind. She is in a better place.
This is such a huge loss to anyone who spent time with her. She was patient, kind, generous and loved her family dearly, especially her son that she adored. I loved swapping stories with her over cookies and coffee. This news is so very sad and my deepest condolences to her family.

I want to extend my most sincere condolences to Jim and the entire family. Marsha will long be remembered by many for her strength of character, drive, leadership, expertise, friendship, warmth and compassion. She made many lasting impacts on all who worked with her. Such a sad loss. While many of the above comments are remembrances of her important impacts as a senior leader, hearing of Marsha’s passing sent my mind spinning back to our days together as 2LTs at Ft Hood, TX in the mid-1980’s. Assigned together to the 21st Evacuation Hospital, 1st Medical Group, we had such good times. Whether it was another scorching day in the Motor Pool doing PMCS’s or freezing through the three week FTX in January, Marsha had a smile and positive attitude to keep us all going. Running PT in black Army boots, or being the project officers for AER, CFC, Voting, Savings Bonds, or another Holiday Ball, we laughed and joked, grew as leaders, had each other’s backs, and got the job done with style. I will miss you Marsha but thank you for the friendship, support, and cherished memories. Say Hello to Zeke Chacon for me.
I knew Marsha as Randy & John’s sister and my husband’s cousin. I only met her once, spoke with her a few times by phone but corresponded with her multiple times via text and Facebook. I knew from our conversations that she was an incredible individual. She was sweet spirited, kind, loving and had a great sense of humor, even in the advance stages of her illness. I remember when Randy went down to see her. She was riding in the back seat of his car. In a Face Time conversation, I asked “how are you”? She replied ” well I am not dead yet” and she laughed. In reading all the acclamations, kind words, honors and adorations it is evident that she was truly an awesome lady with many talents, gifts and contributions. She was surely an angle on earth.
Missed opportunity – I am sadden that I did not get to visit with her. September of this year, one of our National Nurse Conferences was held in San Antonio. She asked me to visit her. Due to COVID the conference went virtual. It would have been such an honor to just hang out with her .

We started our AMEDD careers together in a small OBC class (1984). From OBC throughout the next 30+ years I knew Marsha as the professional whose positivity and genuine concern for others created the the environment for success. Very sad news to hear about Marsha’s passing. My condolences to her family. I had the pleasure of working with then MAJ Langlois when I was stationed in Korea in 1995. She was a great mentor and leader, supporting me in many missions during my time with the 168 Area Support Medical Battalion. She will be missed. God Bless.
