Campbell, Jean F (nee Gaines)

71, passed peacefully on the day of Wednesday August 25th after a stroke. Beloved wife of 48 years to Steven Campbell; loving mother to Kathryn (William) Earls, David Campbell; dear Grandmother of Parker Earls; loving sister to Doug, Jackie, Roger, Bud, Sonny and Gloria.

Jean was a force for good in this world. A revered leader and beacon of hope within the St. Louis mental health community, Jean dedicated her life to helping others as VP Administrator of St. Anthony’s Hospital & Hyland Center for 23 years and co-founder of CenterPointe Hospital. Mom, coach, scouts leader, and all around motivator, Jean gave so much to so many. She loved travel, parties, watching the sunrise and enjoying life with those she loved. A woman of great faith, Jean lived everyday to be the answer to someone’s prayer. Her compassion, courage and contagious energy will shine on in our hearts forever.

Services: Visitation 5-8pm Monday August 30 at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Funeral 12pm Tuesday August 31st at St. Paul’s Catholic Church 15 Forest Knoll Rd.
