Died peacefully on August 11, 2021. Bonnie was born on October 6, 1935 in Waverly, Ohio. She was one of 15 children born to George and Cora Mathuews. She is survived by siblings Emma Ford, Charlie Mathuews, and Violet Lawson all of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband Bennie whom she married on July 16,1955 in Lafayette Indiana. They had 4 daughters Mona Wilson of Bradenton FL, Myrna Potts (Steve Kozlowski), Mindy Peters (David), and Marla DeHahn, all of St. Louis MO; and a special daughter, Maria Pena of Fresno, CA. She is survived by her 7 grandchildren, Jolena (Rick) Boyt, Nichole (Eric) Leonard, Samantha Wilson, Larry (Megan) Potts Jr., Teah (Adam) Zilch, Andrew Peters, Nicholas Peters; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Bonnie was involved in the community of Mary Mother of the Church as a housekeeper for the Redemptorists while they were in residence. She also served on the parish council and Stevens Ministries, along with other activities. She enjoyed traveling the world with Bennie. She also enjoyed their time in Fort Collins, CO and their winters spent in Bradenton, FL toward their later years. Visitation will be on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 9:30am – 10:15am at KUTIS – Affton. Funeral will follow at Mary Mother of the Church at 11:00am. Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery (Lafayette, IN) on August 17,2021 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sunnyhill, Inc. 14 Soccer Park Rd, Fenton MO 63026 or Lafayette Industries, 179 Gaywood Dr. Ballwin MO 63021 in honor of Marla DeHahn.
