Rick Lippert 62, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday May 13, 2021 in Lee’s Summit, MO doing what he loved to do. He was having fun with friends after a hard day of work.
Rick was born on September 17, 1958 to Eddie and Erlene Lippert in St Louis, MO. Rick attended Affton High School and enjoyed all things motorized.
His early careers included Over the Road Trucking and Heavy Equipment Operations. Rick married Debbie Buban on October 27, 1996.
He was a kind and compassionate man, especially when it came to caring for his dear mother. Rick took 9 years out of his own life to be his mothers personal caregiver. Always there for her to the very end. This type of love and dedication is a rare and special characteristic that embodies who Rick Lippert was.
Rick spent the majority of his life living and working in the St Louis area. Four years ago he started working on his brothers family farm in Lee’s Summit, MO. He commuted weekly for 2 1/2 years and then moved to the area in 2019.
Rick was preceded in death by his father Eddie Lippert, Mother Erlene Lippert and Brother Denny Lippert.
He is survived by his Brother Jim (Teresa) Lippert, Brother Mike (Linda) Lippert, Nephews: Scott (Tara) Lippert, Gregg Lippert, Chris (Rachel) Daniels, Drew Lippert, Niece Jill (Paul) Dierker, Great Nephews Zac, Luke and Brady Lippert, Nash Dierker. Great nieces: Nora and Millie Daniels, Ava Schwartz and Grayson Dierker.
We are going miss Rick terribly, we know he was welcomed into heaven by his dear momma and Aunt Mil. We love him with all our hearts.
Services: Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Road on Wednesday, May 26, 11:30 a.m. Interment St. Paul Churchyard. Visitation Tuesday May 25, 3 – 9 p.m.
Rick was a good man. I was lucky to have known Rick a long time.
So sorry to hear of Rick’s passing. I have many great memories of Rick and his family, who will always be apart of my life. The July BBQ parties on Atwood are growing each year in heaven.

A giver.. I know his final years on earth were enjoyed working on the farm.. so talented . He will be dearly missed.. God has wrapped him in his loving arms.. keep those memories alive..

I was so privileged to meet Rick, on a frequent basis, at the Lippert‘s Farm in Lee Summit Missouri. He always had that wonderful smile and twinkle in his eye, always ready to lend a helping hand without you even asking. If you had an emergency, Rick could fix it. If you needed a friend to just sit and chat with, Rick was there. If you needed someone to help corral goats or horses or humans, he made it fun.He Put up with a lot of us “old horse ladies” giggling and acting like children and made us feel like it was all just fine. He brightened everyone’s day every time we interacted with him. His loss leaves such a deep hole for all of us. But if anyone can be a guardian angel in heaven, then I know Rick can be that for all of us.
Oh I’m sorry to hear this.He sold his house in Lemay to my Mother. We became friends a couple years ago. What a great person. We spent several evenings just hanging out and talking. I loved hearing his life stories. I’m glad we have so many items in the house that will always remind me of him. I’m truly saddened. I know how much he loved his family

Seeing his picture for the obituary article took me back, still has that same smile. Saddened and believe his dear Mom was waiting for him with open arms.
