Joseph C Alonzo, Sr. of St Louis County died March 11th, 2021 at his home. He was born April 17th, 1931 in Hutchinson Kansas, the Son of Dario and Teofila (Castor) Alonzo.

Joseph was a Korean War veteran who earned 2 Purple Hearts, Bronze Star w/Valor, and Legion of Merit w/Valor. He completed his Service as a Master Sergeant proudly earning the Combat Infantryman Medal for his bravery in battle. He was a Teamster Bottler for Anheuser-Busch for 35+ years and a Bricklayer/Stone Mason for Local #1.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; 6 brothers, Don, John, James, Richard, Fred and Mike; and 2 sisters, Jay Alonzo and Marina Alonzo Davis. He is survived by; his wife of 65 years Janet Alonzo; 3 sons, Steven (Pam), Joseph Jr (Anna), Marc (Rachel); and 1 daughter Jana Alonzo; 11 grandchildren; Stefan, Sarah Perdue,Nathan, Brea, Samantha Stendebach, Joel, Katie Hoff, Jacob, Cody Baker, Dylan and Isabela; 8 great grandchildren; 1 brother Tony; and 1 sister Minnie.

Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. on Thursday, March 18, 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service Friday, March 19, at 11 a.m. (concludes). Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
