Thursday, January 14, 2021. Born August 17, 1957 in St. Louis, MO, to the late John J. and Catherine M. Tabash. Survived by siblings Janet (Dennis) Maritz, John (Mary) Tabash and Joan (Kevin) Curbow; nieces and nephew Heather, Jenny, Julie and John; great-niece and great-nephews Chase, Brennen, Brody, William and Caroline; and many many friends and cousins. Loved by so many.
Judy was a graduate of Our Lady of Providence Grade School, Cor Jesu Academy High School and St. Louis University.
Services: Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Thursday, January 21, 3-7 p.m. A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated and will be livestreamed 11 a.m., Friday, at olpstl.org. The past few days I have been keenly aware of the loss I feel with Judy’s passing – but I keep landing in a place of overwhelming gratitude for the 45 year friendship we shared. Since the evening we met at Mount Sacred Heart in Hamden, her great energy, faith and love of life inspired, supported and encouraged me. To all who enjoyed the blessing of knowing and loving Judy, I offer my prayerful support and wish for peace.

Judy:I will miss you so very much. Sharing our birthday together was always a highlight for me. I looked so forward to talking and/or seeing you on our shared birthday. All our stupid kidding around about older brother,younger sister,etc.. The best was always how we were like fine wine…the older we got the better we got(Ha! Ha!). I will be at your grave every birthday of ours talking with you;however,it will be so hard not hearing or seeing you. Oh Judy I will miss you! Your laugh and caring words, what a good friend you were all these years. We did not see each other often but we could just start talking for hours. All these good words from so many people who loved you. You made every visit special and fun. You were one of a kind. Your pain is over and at peace now. Judy, how much I missed u and everyone over all these, years, the Thanksgiving gatherings at your folks house. The christmas gatherings at aunt larraine’s. Your smile and laughs. Judy brought sunshine and happiness to all those around her. She was always quick witted and very genuine. My wife had an opportunity to meet her at a friend’s wedding and commented on how full of life and exuberant she was with all those around her. She will sorely be missed and our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.
Went to grade school with Judy – Our Lady of Providence. She had a smile and treated everyone equally. Way back then……heaven has definitely gained an angel.

I just heard from my brother that your beloved Judy had passed away. I am so very sorry for your loss. Although I did not know Judy well I have such fond memories of your entire family, enjoying the times that I used to go with you, Janet, to your house after school day at Our Lady of Providence – -and then being together at Cor Jesu. I would love to reconnect with you as we lost contact back in our college days and I have been unable to locate you. It is clear from reading all of the comments that Judy was indeed a very special person and I know she will be deeply missed. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

From the first day I meet Judy she treated me like family. She seemed to genuinely care about how I was doing and my family. I was also always impressed by her memory. We could go months without talking and she would remember where we left off.
She cared deeply for our family and always asking about my little girl. One of my favorite memories of Judy is how my daughter was so shy around strangers as a baby/ toddler. But here comes Judy just picking her up and Colleen just knew she was with someone she could love and trust and let her hold her for however long she wanted.
We will miss Judy and are praying for her family in their time of loss.
Oh Judy. It is so hard to believe you will never be at another concert, dance like crazy, attend fairs, or receive another text from you. As much as you went through these past months, you thoughtfully dropped me a text asking how I was. Rest in peace dear friend. Your smile and vibrant energy will be missed by so many.
Judy was one of my favorite former pupils and a dear friend since her days at CJ. I will miss talking and texting and catching up.
She was a sweet caring person and genuinely interested in people.

My sincere condolences to all Judy’s family and friends. I enjoyed the few years I worked with Judy at MHHC. She brought so much energy and vitality to all the staff that worked there. She touched the lives of the patients she interacted with. She brought many departments together, and united the team with her kind ways, passion for people, and boundless energy. She truly made all the people she conversed with feel like they mattered, and that I feel is truly a gift. I feel I am a better person to have known her. Judy you made everybody you spoke with feel like they were the most importante person in your life! You remembered details of conversations and life situations no matter how long it had been since the last time being together. Your loud, boisterous, happy, voice was always such a welcome sound. You made everybody’s day brighter and better when you were around. You leave a void in all our hearts that is uniquely for you.
