Noble Jeffrey (Jeff) Parsonage, 77 Jeff was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin, friend and colleague. After battling and mending from an illness that brought him to the hospital in early December, contracted and sadly passed away from Covid related complications on January 11, 2021. He was surrounded by love and left us peacefully and with grace.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years Carol (Trigg); his children Steven and Laurie; sister Sharon (Bernhardt), Victoria (Dolan), brother Christopher and sister-in-law Carol (Wilken); brothers and sisters-in-law David and Laura Trigg, Bob and Jean (Trigg) Hoehn, Thomas and Mary Jeane Trigg, Dennis and Mary (Trigg) Hayes; loved nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and generations of cousins.
He was welcomed by the open arms of his father Noble, mother Virginia, father/mother-in-law Daniel and Dolores Trigg, sister Judith, daughter Faith and niece Carolyn.
Jeff was a man of integrity, compassion, humor, gratitude, ingenuity, loyalty, growth and above all, love. His life’s journey was one of education, recognition, value, respect, inspiration and humility. He was a provider, problem solver and valued honesty above all else. He would be humbled to know the lives he touched, both within his family and community. He held the highest regard for honor and for those who sacrificed for our freedom.
Some things he loved: family, friends, work (until the day he passed at age 77), community, the farm in Waterloo, mechanics, numbers, marching bands & drum corps, history, ancestry, planes, ships, cars, motorcycles, technology, travel, road trips, carpentry, flying, his 1962 Chris Craft, football, a rare filet, his sweet furry babies…and any challenge he could “Macgyver”.
The family fully understands the times we are in and values everyone’s health and safety above all else, as would Jeff. There will be a visitation and a service for those who are symptom free and feel comfortable paying their respects in person. However, we fully appreciate and care for those who should not or cannot attend, our hearts are with you. Respects can be made here and welcome all messages and stories you may have of your memories with Jeff.

Our fathers were classmates at Beaumont High School. Jeff and I built a Roman Chariot for our 9th Grade Latin class. We both carried our father’s first names as well.
We were in many activities together in high school.

TO THE PARSONAGE FAMLIY,
I worked with your father Jeff who managed my river barges and his father Noble at Price Waterhouse & Co. Both were great men. While at PW& Co., after Noble had left, I worked for 90 consecutive (8 to 12 hour) days in successfully taking his Company (Pott industries) public. It was always a great pleasure working with these great, soft-spoken men.
Jeff and I met (I believe) in 2nd grade at Henry Hough Elementary School in Glendale, MO part of the Kirkwood School District. I life long friend and a constant help in our every 10 year class reunion of the Kirkwood High School class of 1961. Jeff had signed up to be our treasurer for our upcoming Oct. reunion. A solid citizen, friend and family man – a wonderful man and friend.

Carol, I remember his warm smile. When someone you love dies you never get over it. You just slowly get through each day. But you always keep them tucked safely in your heart. Treasure the happy memories.
We were so sad to hear of Jeff’s passing. We were very fortunate to have him in both of our lives.

The world lost an amazing human being when Jeff died. I went to school with Jeff in Junior High and High School. We even dated for a while. I have four younger sisters and Jeff put up with their wanting to spend time with us when he visited our house. I felt that Jeff was the kindest person
in our class. And he was so full of fun! He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
I have known Jeff since 4th grade at Hough Elementary School. He lived just around the corner from us. He was always very nice and a friend to everybody. He will be missed, especially at our 60th Kirkwood High School reunion this October!
I am so very sorry for your pain. While I have never met Mr. Parsonage, I can tell by all of the messages above that he is a very special person loved by everyone who knew him. I know it hurts, please lean on each other for support and eventually, the good memories may outweigh or at least help you get through this. God Bless your entire family. I’m so sorry for your loss. I was shocked and deeply saddened by the news that Jeff passed away. He will hold a special place in so many hearts.
I went to Junior High and High School with Jeff. He was always one of my favorite classmates. He was one of the kindest, warmest, big hearted people I’ve ever known. I was so looking forward to connecting with him once again at our upcoming reunion. He will be missed tremendously but never forgotten. He made the world a better place.

“Jeff” and I met in 8th Grade Band at Kirkwood (Nipher) Jr. High. During our Freshman Year we solidified our friendship playing football. I used to love our great treks going home down Kirkwood Rd. passing the Kirkwood Theater to the downtown Ice Cream Parlor, and library. then we walked north on Kirkwood Rd. and finally splitting-up with Jeff going East and me West. Along the way, we addressed every problem that confronted us. Until the end of our High School Senior Year we Participated in athletes together, double dated, travelled out West, solved none of our own problems, and knew that if the rest of the world would listen to us, everything would be OK. During our college years we strengthened our relationship during the summers. We both worked, but found time travel with Jim Horn and others and camped all the way to California and back home.
Jeff was always compassionate, concerned and willing to listen. His knowledge of financial matters rescued my family trucking company by moving all of our accounting to our IBM computer during a 2 year period. After he took his family to St. Louis, we called each other constantly during the years that followed. After moving to Waterloo, IL and their country home, they adjusted to a different life. Then Faith entered their lives. After 9 busy years, Carol and Jeff handled the death of their daughter Faith very courageously.
Lately, as I watched his health carry him down the road to his last great adventure, I worried about him constantly. He was truly a courageous and intelligent man who deep in his heart loved Carol, Laurie, Stephen and Faith. Until I continue on to my own to the climax of my
Next Great Adventure, I will miss him deeply. Good Bye! All of us Loved You.
I met Jeff in 9th grade at Nipher Jr High while playing football. Or, I really should say I meet his knee with my head during a schrimage in 9th grade football. Needless to say he knocked me out…and I do mean knocked me out…cold. Back then the helmets were not so good, so my parents bought me a really cool helmet to wear. I was so proud of that helmet and I had Jeff to thank!! After that we were always friends, although we lost touch after High School. He had a great heart and was a very giving man. Last I saw of him was at the reunions. Jeff will be missed.

I was shocked to receive the news of Jeff’s death, and my heart goes out to you in this awful time. I have known Jeff for many years, (through Jeremy, of course) and will sorely miss our frequent chats. He was my “go to” guy when I needed help with my computer, or some lively discussions, or just to sound off. He was a very bright and interesting man and I always felt good after talking with him. I can only imagine what you are going through now, but I will keep both of you in my prayers.
