Dear Vaughn, David and Jake, I’m so very sorry to hear about Gerry. I worked with him at Centene and communicated with him regularly. He spoke of you all often including his grandkids (showing off pictures and sharing stories). He was a great and extremely nice guy – One you can surely be proud of!!!! He will be missed but never forgotten. Please let me know if I can do anything for the family. Take Care and may God protect and comfort each one of you during this time.
Very sorry for your loss.My thoughts and prayers are with you
Gerald, my brother, I love you. You were a wonderful person with great love and intellect and God made you in his very image. God is the potter who daily shapes and remakes us for eternity. Prayers for your children and grandchildren. Love you…your little sister Trish
What a good and generous man your father was. I feel so lucky that I got to know him all those years ago. Rest in peace Gerald.

Gerry was one of a kind, he would do anything for anyone at anytime. I worked side by side with him at MasterCard and Centene. I have seen you boys grow up over the years through the pictures on his desk. Every time he spoke of his boys he would beam with pride. He lived for Friday night Football games and then coming into work on Monday and telling us all about the games. Recently when he became a grandpa to David’s kids, we got to see a very tender side of Gerry. You all made him very happy and proud. I am sorry for your loss. I will always remember Gerry and have a smile on my face.
So sorry to hear of your loss Dave. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Tim and Deb Pulcine

I am very sorry for your loss. I enjoyed Gerry’s sense of humor and he always had a joke to make me smile at work. He was always a joy to work with. I will miss him.
You guys should be as proud to have Gerry as a father as he was to have you as his sons. I had the pleasure of working with your dad for many years, and we all know that he could tell great stories. His best ones – and the ones that meant the most to him – were always about you guys. And they almost always ended with his big trademark laugh.
You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there is anything we can do to help you through this difficult time.
Tara on behalf of your team here at Mastercard, we extend our deepest sympathies and pray that great “..peace that surpasses all understanding..” abound plentiful for you and your entire family. Blessings always.
So sorry for your loss. I worked with Gerry at Centene and he talked about his kids and grandkids quite a bit, he was so proud of you all. Always with a joke, story or how to fix the Cardinals. I enjoyed getting to know Gerry and I know that there will be such a void left in your family.
Dear Sauer boys,
I worked with your dad for Many years at MasterCard. He was my boss on more than one occasion. His laugh abs jokes are never forgotten. And the best memory was his ability to bowl between his legs at the JA Bowlathons. He was a unique guy with many skills. I still have some stained glass he made for our house. My deepest condolences to you all and yo families.
Uncle Gerald,
I always enjoyed hearing your stories and learning about your adventures. You were quick and easy to talk to. I look forward to talking to you more in the life to come.
Vaughn, David, Jake, and all who knew and loved my uncle,
You are in our thoughts and prayers, and I pray God gives you the comfort he’s given me in Christ. John11:25
Our love,
Jimmie, Julie, Annabel, and Luca Burkeen
Our deepest sympathy for Gerry passing. He was a wonderful and undesrtanding man and manager at MasterCard. May loving memories bring you peace, comfort and strength.
Condolences to the Sauer Family. Gerry was simply a good guy who was easy going and consistently looked out for others. I worked with Gerry for years at MasterCard and will always remember him as a good person who thought the world of his family.
My deepest condolences for your loss. I also worked many years with Gerry, first he worked for me then later I for him. He had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh; truly a sincere person with a big heart. He was always there to offer assistance and had a vast knowledge of MasterCard applications; his technical skills were an asset. His teams loved him and his customers as well. Gerry will be missed by all who met and grew to know him; he was a genuine and caring person. Hoping the fond memories of your father will help heal your pain and keep him close in your hearts.
Prayers to all of the family,
Kathy Quick

My condolences to the Sauer family. I just today heard of his passing, and I am truly saddened. I worked with Gerry for many years at Mastercard, and we always had long conversations about personal finance. Gerry was a smart man, but also a very kind and thoughtful person. As I’ve read through the comments above, that same message comes out repeatedly. He’ll live on in my memory and I will miss him. May he rest in peace.
