(nee Hieger) born in St. Louis on June 3, 1938, and passed on Wednesday, February 17, 2016.

Dear daughter of the late Bernard and Dorothy Hieger (nee Nolker); dear mother of Laurie (James)  Mertens, Daniel (Carol) Leach, Mary (Thomas) Dewald, John (Kristy) Leach and Nancy (Matthew)  Stoverink; dear grandmother of Pat and Libby Mertens, Matthew Leach, Mary Claire McKinney, Spencer Cox, Charlie  Dewald, Carson, Max, Sam and Niko Leach, Patricia, Benjamin  and Emma Stoverink; dear great-grandmother of Anna and Jamison McKinney; dear sister of Carol  (Thomas) McCarthy and Bernadette (Charles) Riordan.

Jacqueline attended St. Catherine Laboure High School and was  married on November 28, 1959 to Patrick Leach. She spent a great deal of her time volunteering for her church. She also volunteered at  numerous nursing homes, the Alzheimer’s Association, Mill Hill Missionaries as well as God’s Cod Fish Fry during Lent and C.A.R.E. Group at St. Mary Magdalen. She was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan. Jackie dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Services: Informal gathering Saturday, February 20th, at noon and Memorial Mass at 1 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Church (2618 Brentwood Blvd.) Luncheon-Celebration of Life to follow at Mineo’s  Restaurant (13490 Clayton Rd.) from 2:30-4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers,  donations can be sent to St. Mary Magdalen Church in Brentwood, St. Anthony’s at de Greeff Hospice House or the Alzheimer’s  Association-St. Louis.
