Gassaway, Judith A. (nee Kohm) was born on July 27, 1947 in Kansas City, Mo.  At age 2, she was adopted by Bernice and Oliver Kohm. She attended Fairview High School where she was active in many school activities. After graduating at age16, she attended Southeast Missouri State University and graduated in 3 1/2 years with an Associate’s degree in Data Processing and a B.S. in Business Administration.  While at SEMO she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.

While at SEMO, she met her husband Bill Gassaway and they were married in June of 1968.She was employed by the Post-Dispatch as a programmer in their Data Processing from 1969 to 1976.  In 1976 she left the Post to adopt a son Scott.  In 1978 she returned to work for General American/MetLife in their IT department and retired from there in 2003,  In 2005 her and her husband bill, moved to Ft. Myers, Florida where they enjoyed traveling, boating, shelling, fishing, and attending Cardinals Spring Training Games.  She was a true Cardinals fan. She served on the Water’s Edge HOA Board and was President of the Veridian HOA Board. She is survived by her husband Bill, son Scott and cousins.
