It is with great sadness, we announce our beloved, Nicholas John Adams departed this life on Monday March 7th, 2022 at the age of 44 in Arnold, MO.

Nick is survived by his loving wife, Holly Adams (née Carter); his two children he adored, son Cade Adams and daughter Elena Adams; his mother, Anne Adams (née Karase)/Robert Pessina; his sister, Jennifer Pease (née Adams)/David Pease; his sister, Rebecca Nix (née Adams)/William Nix III; his sister, Heather O’Mara (née Adams)/Casey O’Mara, beloved nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Nick is preceded in death by his father, James Edmund Adams and his brother, James William Adams.

Nick graduated from Rockwood Summit High School in 1996 with dreams of becoming an artist or writer as he had a vivid imagination and a sensitive soul. While Nick saved up for school, he found a way to channel his creativity by taking a job in the graphic design and printing business. Nick continued to dabble in the arts as he worked full time, painting abstract images or writing short stories and poems. Nick had a strong work ethic and would always take the call to come in for extra hours when the company needed him and somehow also managed to enroll in a few college classes to pursue his dreams. One of those college classes is where he would meet his future wife and mother of his beautiful children. Nick’s wife and children were his crown and glory, the absolute joys of his life.

Nick absolutely loved the outdoors and could always be found near a river kayaking or canoeing, relaxing near a campfire, or enjoying a baseball game. Nick was known for his love of music and was inclined to send music videos and lyrics to loved ones to communicate his feelings and thoughts or just to let them know he was thinking of them.

Nick loved his family, often coordinating camping trips and concerts/plays with his children and siblings to share his passions with the people he loved.

Nick enjoyed playing pranks on people or putting on ridiculous performances to get people to laugh and forget about their woes if only for a little while; when Nick laughed, one could not help but laugh with him. Nick will be sorely missed and we pray he rests in peace.

Visitation will be at Kutis Funeral Home 10151 Gravois Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123 on March 19th, 2022 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm and service will begin at 2:30pm. Many of you have reached out asking how you can help Nick’s family during this time. We appreciate your compassion and thoughtfulness, and we ask for prayers that his family may find peace concerning this devasting and unexpected loss. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate monetary donations to help support Nick’s wife and children as they navigate this tragedy. Below is a link to the charity set up for Nick’s family.
