Willa “Dee” Gilliam, of Imperial, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 22, 2022 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born to the late Charles Kendell Creech and Versa Christine Stuart (Gibbs) in Dayton, Ohio on July 26, 1961. At the age of 10, Dee would meet the man she knew as her father, the late Louis Stuart. Due to Louis being in the United States Airforce, she spent time on the Air Force Bases in Ohio, Italy and Nebraska. The later of which she would meet the love of her life.

Dee was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend, Felix Scott Gilliam, on August 23, 1980 on Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska. They were married by her grandfather, Reverand Wendell Gibbs. As a preachers granddaughter, she dedicated and lived her life as faithful christian, shining her light for all who had the honor of meeting her.

In 1988, Dee, Felix and their 2 sons moved to Saint Louis, Missouri. She spent 12 years proudly being an Events Cooridator for Aggies Banquet Center and for the past 10 years she has been a manager in food services for the Catholic organizaiton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her life companion, Felix Scott Gilliam; second mom (aunt) Barbara Jo Young; brothers Randall Scott Creech, James Edward Stuart, Michael Ray (Kim) Stuart and Shawn Christopher Stuart; sisters Bette Jo Sass and Diana Lynn (Brad) Edwards; sons Matthew Scott (Dawn Hagemeyer) Gilliam and Adam Jeffrey (Maia) Gilliam and granddaughter Adaline Noelle Gilliam.

To honor Dee, services will be held on Saturday the 29th of January, 2022. Viewing for the public is from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm and service is at 5:00 pm at Kutis Funeral Home on Lemay Ferry. She will be laid to rest at a later date.
