Shannon, Joan  L “Joni” (Leitensdorfer)

82, passed away Saturday, October 16th following a decline in her health after a stroke two years ago. She leaves her Children, Ronna, Roland and Michael (and their spouses) as well as 7 grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Brianne, Anna, Sam, Kate and Aletha and two great grand sons, Lucas and Jacob and many family and friends. Our sweet Joni aka “Blue” lived one heck of a strong life.  She lost her husband early on with three young kids left to raise at the young age of 23.  Her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Miller purchased a home in South County to help Joni raise these three children.  Her husband’s family, The Leitensdorfer’s were a large part in taking care of these three young children as well, Millie and Julie are well remembered and she loved them so much.  She loved being out on the boat on the River. Joni went on to raise those three kids into adults while she herself worked for the Mehlville School District in the administration offices until her retirement.  She was a member of the Canaan Baptist Church.  SERVICES:  Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road (at Butler Hill)  St. Louis, MO  63129.

Services; Visitation will be held at Kutis South County (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Tue. 10/26 from 11:00 AM until service at 12:00 PM. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
