Michler, Gabrielle R. “Gabby” Tuesday November 17, 2020. Beloved daughter of Laura Michler. Dear sister of Matt Muehlheausler, Kristin (Chris) Ruiz and Leah Muehlheausler. Dear granddaughter of of Chuck and Janet Beasley. Dear aunt of Luca. Dear daughter of Chad (Robin) Michler. Dear sister of Trenton and Travis Michler. Dear step-sister of Dakota Abshier. Our dear niece, cousin and friend.
Gabby Rose had the biggest heart. She was kind, loving, and empathetic—a friend to all and defender of the helpless. Beautiful on the inside and out. She loved her God and she loved her family. She was a daughter, sister, granddaughter and aunt—and we were unconditionally proud of her every single day. Even as we watched the addiction strip away her will, it never changed her soul. For those of you who knew her, you felt it when she was around you. She cared about everyone no matter what.
Gabs had a spirit that could light up a room. Her smile was infectious. She had a way of making you feel special, like you were the only one that mattered in that moment of time. She was silly, outgoing, loved to dance like no one was watching and didn’t care what other people thought. She was the definition of a free spirt—she was not going to let anyone tell her how to think, feel or act. We admired her confidence and she showed her bravery by standing up for what was right, even when it wasn’t popular.
She was more than her addiction. She is deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Given the current healthcare climate, we will hold a small, private viewing for our immediate family. I know many of you will be disappointed by this, but please know she loved you all with abandon.
Substance abuse is a disease. We as parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters have lost too many to this epidemic. It’s up to us to open our hearts and use our voices to fight for those who are still suffering. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Austin’s Army @ https://www.austinsarmy97.org/career-consulting or H.O.P.E. Group, @ http://hopegroupstl.org/Donations.html so they may continue their ministry educating and supporting those in need.
All our thanks and love,
Laura, Matt, Kristen, Chris, Leah, Luca, Grandma and Grandpa, and most of all, Gabby

“Gabs had a spirit that could light up a room. Her smile was infectious. She had a way of making you feel special, like you were the only one that mattered in that moment of time.”
Although I only knew Gabby for two months before her passing, in those two months she taught me to always be confident in who I was, never to fear what anyone else thinks, and to always do the right thing when no, especially when it wasn’t popular.
Gabby was such a beautiful soul and I will always cherish the memories I have with her and be thankful for the short time she was in my life. God bless your whole family, and I hope prey this comment finds you well. Feel free to reach out to me, should you ever need anything at all.
