Mark Santo Spanevello was fifty eight years young and a resident of
“The Hill” community in Saint Louis, Missouri for 43 years. On September 21, 2018 at 4:55am at Barnes Jewish Hospital, Mark was surrounded by loved ones when he took the Lord’s hand and was finally able to go home and rest.
He was born on March 5, 1960 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was the
son of the late Raymond and Grace (Giuffrida) Spanevello. He married his high school sweetheart, the late Cheryl (Dattoli) Spanevello on September 10,
1981.
He had many hobbies, interests, and motivations but the one that
was the most important to him was his love for his family. He would always try to have his home filled with loved ones; usually that meant cooking up something yummy with his love of cooking. He got that passion from his mom, Grace. He was a true Italian with not letting you leave his company without having a full belly or at least a doggy bag to snack on later. He would love to talk and laugh. He had this smile and laughter that could warm your heart and it would be so contagious; that contagiousness will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his partner Leona of Saint Louis, Missouri, her
daughter Lorelei and her son Ryan of Saint Louis; his daughters Kimberly and her husband Michael of Saint Louis, Missouri and Shelby and her partner Brad of Saint Louis, Missouri; 1 grandson, Caleb of Saint Louis. He is also survived by his brother Steve and his wife Angie of Saint Louis, Missouri and his brother-in-law Wayne of Saint Louis, Missouri and several brother-in- laws and sister-in-laws by marriage; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Weep Not For Me
Weep not for me though I have
gone
Into that gentle night
Grieve if you will, but not for
long
Upon my soul’s sweet flight
I am at peace, my soul’s at rest
There is no need for tears
For with your love I was so
blessed
For all those many years
There is no pain, I suffer not
The fear is now all gone
Put now these things out of your
thoughts
In your memory I live on
Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Please do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life
