Mark A. Domagalski, age 62, of St. Louis, passed away Sunday evening, July 19, 2020, in his home.

Mark was born September 27, 1957 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Theodore and Dathel Domagalski.  He spent 31 years with the love of his life, Rose Crimi, after meeting her in 1989.  Surviving are his partner Rose Crimi, of St. Louis; his siblings, Marcia (George) Spala of Fredericktown, MO, James (Janeen) Domagalski of Affton, MO, Janis (Kenny) Keys of St. Louis, MO, Theodore (Sue) Domagalski Jr of St. Louis, MO, and Timothy (Christine) Domagalski of Granite City, IL; and countless relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father Theodore Domagalski Sr, and was recently reunited/joined in heaven by his mother Dathel Stoltz.

Mark graduated from Cleveland High School in 1976.  He was a member of the student government and played for both the hockey and football teams.  After graduation, he worked many jobs in the St. Louis area, including warehouse, store clerk, and sales.

He had a deep love for sports.  His favorite teams were the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues, and he always looked forward going to games with his friends and family.  As much as he loved watching his favorite teams in action, Mark also enjoyed playing sports.  Many of his family and friends have memories of him playing football, golf, softball, hockey, and bowling, both in school and in the community.

Mark was always friendly, and he never forgot a face.  His friends describe him as quick-witted and funny.  He liked to tell jokes and do impressions, especially of the Three Stooges.  He enjoyed learning new things and was full of random trivia and knowledge.  He was the man to call for help when trying to recall a piece of history or an obscure tidbit of information.

Mark loved his family and cherished spending holidays with them.  He brought joy and laughter to every family event.  He often hosted Mother’s Day at his home for his mom, Dathel, whom he loved dearly.  At Christmastime, he would quote lines from his favorite holiday movie “A Christmas Story”.  He was also fond of dressing up as Santa for his nieces and nephew and always had the jolliest (and most convincing) “Ho, Ho, HO”!

One of Mark’s favorite memories was of his vacation to see Mount Rushmore.  He was impressed with the history of the monument as well as the beauty of the Black Hills surrounding it.  Mark also enjoyed visiting Yellowstone National Park and thought of it often as a trip of a lifetime.

Mark would like to be remembered for the connections he had with others.  He truly made those around him feel valued and appreciated.  His relationships were very important to him, and he was always a welcoming friend to others.  We will remember him by the happiness and joy he brought to his family and friends.

Services: A graveside service for immediate family will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00am at Calvary Cemetery in Florissant, MO.  A larger Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date with plans to include his extended family and friends.
